BACB Guidelines for Responsible Conduct
Every Behavior Analyst, Assistant Behavior Analyst, and Registered Behavior Technician employed by the Company is expected to know and follow the current ethics standards published by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
The current standard is the BACB Ethics Code for Behavior Analysts, which sets out the professional and ethical responsibilities of practitioners in areas including responsibility as a professional, responsibility in practice, responsibility to clients and stakeholders, responsibility to supervisees and trainees, responsibility in public statements, and responsibility in research.
The full Ethics Code, together with related conduct standards for the Registered Behavior Technician credential, is published and maintained by the BACB and is available at bacb.com/ethics-information.
Employees are expected to consult the latest version directly, since the BACB updates the Code periodically. Suspected violations of the Code should be reported to your supervisor or to Human Resources, who will determine the appropriate next steps consistent with this Handbook and applicable BACB notification requirements.
