POLICY: All forms of suicidal ideation or suicide threats will be taken seriously. Action must be taken in the case of every person contemplating suicide - whether it is a chronic or an acute ideation. When in doubt whether a situation is high or minimal risk, the response must be in line with the high-risk possibility. Management will be immediately informed (regardless of hour or time of day) and will provide advice in all cases of suicide threats, attempts, or actual client suicide.
