All computers and the data stored on them are, and remain at all times, the property of the Company. Likewise, all messages composed, sent, or retrieved over the internet or through the Company's electronic mail system are the property of the Company and should be considered Company information. The Company reserves the right to retrieve and read any message composed, sent, or received using the Company's electronic resources, including computer equipment and the email system, for any business reason, including ensuring compliance with this and any other Company policy.

Employees should be aware that even when a message has been deleted or erased, it is often possible to recreate it. As a result, ultimate privacy of any message cannot be guaranteed. Internet and email messages are not private. All communications, including text and images, may be disclosed to law enforcement or other third parties without the prior consent of the sender or the recipient.

Employees should also be aware that copies of email transmitted through a personal, web-based account using Company equipment may be stored on that equipment, and information about the internet sites an employee has visited may be stored as well.
