Voice Mail Monitoring
The Company recognizes the need for efficient communication among employees and with patients. For that reason, the Company maintains a proprietary voice mail system to facilitate the transmission of business-related information within the Company and with patients and families. This system, and all information transmitted by or stored within it, is the property of the Company.
The voice mail system is for business use only. Using the system to solicit fellow employees or to distribute non job-related information is strictly prohibited.
The Company's policies prohibiting sexual and other forms of harassment apply fully to the voice mail system. Violations are not permitted and may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination. Employees may not transmit sexually explicit messages, ethnic slurs, racial epithets, or any other content that could reasonably be considered harassing or disparaging.
All voice mail passwords must be made available to the Company at all times. Notify your supervisor when you need to change a password.
Violation of this policy may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment.
For business purposes, management reserves the right to enter, search, and monitor the Company's voice mail system, and the voice mail of any employee, without advance notice, consistent with the federal Electronic Communications Privacy Act and other applicable state and federal law. Employees should expect that messages they send and receive on the Company's voice mail system may be disclosed to management, and should not assume that such messages are private or confidential. Any communication an employee sends or receives using Company property or systems becomes Company property and a Company record, and may be accessed by authorized Company personnel.
